The first one is East Renton Highlands. East Renton Highlands is located between Renton Highlands and Issaquah it is served by the Issaquah school district and Renton school district. You can find a hazen high school and Liberty High School in the boundaries of the East Retton Highlands. The borders are Duvall Avenue, highway 169, May Valley Road and Cedar Grove Road . This area is mostly car dependent. It is possible to get around on bus but there is minimal public transportation. Some fun landmarks in the area are the sno-King ice rink, Lake Kathleen, Maplewood park, coal field play field and hazen swimming pool. Housing consists of homes in the 1960s up to brand new communities. The area used to be made up mostly of woods and since the early 2000s we have seen much of the land turned into housing communities It still has a rural feel though. Next is the Renton Highlands. This is the area between interstate 405 North, East 4th Street, State Route nine hundred and Duvall Avenue. This area is somewhat walkable and has some public transportation. You will find some condos here and apartments and some very nice single family home neighborhoods. Liberty Ridge and the honeydew are a couple as well as some apartments, condos, and mobile home parks in the Highlands. Renton Technical College is located within the Renton Highlands boundaries
The next neighborhood is Kennydale. This is the area between State Route 900, 405, Lake Washington Boulevard and Edmonds Avenue. Most errands here needs to be done via car. There are a few scattered condos but mostly homes. There are some high end homes on Lake Washington and many of the homes within Kennydale have a view of Lake Washington. There is Kennydale Beach Park and Lions park within the area. Kennydale Elementary is also located within Kennydale. There's a nice bike path along Lake Washington Boulevard that is very popular. Just outside of Kenny Dale is the Virginia Mason Athletic Center where they have the Seahawk training camp and the Barbee Mill housing development.

Henry Moses Aquatic Center, Renton Memorial Stadium, and the Renton Pavilion Events Center are in the downtown area. Tthere is also a couple of new beautiful hotels. The Hyatt Regency along with a few other hotels are a great place to stay if you're in town home shopping. The Boeing Airplane Group and Pacarr are two major employers in downtown as well as the county buildings. This is one of the oldest areas for housing . Some homes date back to the early 1900's??????? Coulon Beach Park just borders downtown between Kenny Dale and the Landing It is a large park with restaurants, walking trails, a boat launch, and two beach areas and a playground. It is a beautiful park. Renton High School is located in downtown Renton which is Renton school district.
The next neighborhood is Renton Hill. Renton Hill is also known as the West hill of Renton. Beacon way and Renton Avenue South run through Renton Hill. It is a somewhat walkable area and has good public transportation.There are homes with views of Lake Washington here This area is closest to Seattle and is a great commute location.
Fairwood Hill is next. The borders for Fairwood Hill are 192nd West Lake desire road, highway 169 and 128th avenue south east. Fairwood has lots of shopping, bars, restaurants and coffee shops. There' is a Fred meyer here as well. Some of the larger neighborhoods are??????? Fairwood Greens, Carriage Wood, Shady Lake, Lake desire, Spring Hill, Maple ridge and Woodside . Fairwood Golf and Country Club is in Fairwood and Lindburg High School is found in this area, which is Renton school district. Maplewood Golf Course is between East Renton Highlands and Fairwood area just before you head up the hill to Fairwood. There's also a great trail along Highway 169 in the same area for lots of bikers and walkers and runners. Benson and Talbott. This is the south side of Renton between 169, Maple Valley Highway, roughly southeast 192nd and 132nd. Valley Medical Center Hospital is here . This area is populated with many medical offices. There are single-family homes here. They age from the 1960s approximately and then some newer construction and many homes with a view of the city. There are also many condos and apartments. Rolling hills, Victoria Park and Cascade are a few of the communities found here.
